Owner and Director
Having thoroughly enjoyed working with Archie renovating and bringing new life into the family home, Janet’s enthusiasm continues in the running of the business and also by pioneering exciting new projects – ensuring that North Cadbury Court remains a unique and fabulous destination venue. Janet’s love of historic buildings coupled with her surveying and planning background means she provides a significant practical design input to preserving this beautiful Grade 1 historic house. There is always a new project being planned in the background. When not working, Janet may be seen riding her horse around the farm or, when the house is not occupied, playing tennis on the grass courts.
Owner and Director
Rory has grown up on the farm at North Cadbury and has been involved in The Court from an early age, whether visiting his Grandma or sneaking a game of snooker in whenever he could. Rory’s enthusiasm in keeping the house alive with people and projects is infectious. Rory is also passionate about farming and has now returned home to lead the farming team. He is particularly keen on “spud” growing evidenced by the straight potato lines in the fields surrounding North Cadbury Court. Rory loves playing most ball games but particularly golf and squash. He is planning to refurbish the squash court within the grounds and reinvigorate people’s enthusiasm for this game.
Owner and Director
North Cadbury Court was Jamie’s childhood home, along with his older brother Archie and older sister, Katherine. He has fond memories of huddling by the roaring fire in the library – the only warm room in the house then! Jamie can’t believe how warm the Court is now, after the beautiful refurbishment of his family home.
Growing up, where Archie was interested in following their father, John, on the arable side of the farm, Jamie learnt all about the cows and cheesemaking from their mother, Elizabeth. Jamie knows how lucky he is to have inherited a wonderful cheddar cheese, perhaps helped by some unknown magical influence of the beautiful grazing around North Cadbury Court.
Events Director
Georgia looks after our team here at North Cadbury Court as well as organising many of our events and weddings. She has been here since we became a venue just over 10 years ago, there’s not much she doesn’t know about the house and the many types of events we hold! Georgia has helped develop an efficient, caring team who are all very organised and enthusiastic about making guests’ stay the best it can be.
Georgia has worked as an event planner and organiser for over 20 years, the first 10 years for Juliana’s in London. After a break devoted to her family she managed events for Bradley House in Somerset before joining us at North Cadbury Court. She just loves hospitality and seeing the happiness and enjoyment of others.
When not at North Cadbury Georgia is never happier than at home with her family, her garden, her dogs, cats, chickens and pet pigs! (with a healthy dose of travelling for good measure).
