The beautifully refurbished squash court at North Cadbury Court has been officially re- opened by none other than the 1960 British ladies’ open squash champion, Sheila McIntosh. Guests were also treated to an exciting exhibition match featuring Nick Lamb and Adam Scott, who really put the court through its paces.
Starting life as a concert hall in 1883, this squash court certainly has some stories to tell! After seeing many concerts, plays and dances, it was transformed into a private squash court in 1930 and has since served a variety of uses in connection with the house.
Now, it’s back to its full squash court glory – ready to host exciting matches and be enjoyed by family, friends and guests of North Cadbury Court.
